MARCEGAGLIA CONTINO
Established in 1962 as Marcegaglia’s second manufacturing unit, 3 years after the foundation of the Headquarters of Gazoldo degli Ippoliti, the Contino plant (Mantova, Italy) is dedicated to the production of carbon and stainless steel cold-drawn bars.
The manufacturing surface spreads over a total surface of 75,000 square meters, of which 45,000 covered, currently employing about 140 workers.
The plant processes bars and coils of hot rolled steel to produce round, square, rectangular and hexagonal cold-drawn or peeled bars. Round sections may be subsequently ground.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Major applications for Marcegaglia drawn steel bars also include hydraulic cylinder engineering and several subsystems within the automotive and heavy vehicle industry, among others earth moving machinery and lifting equipment.
